ACON MEASUREMENTS PVT LTD. We take this opportunity to introduce ourselves as the manufacturers of Nucleonic Thickness Gauges for Rolling Mills and the Process Lines. ACON is promoted by an ex-employee of DMC (which now is Thermo Radiometrie, USA), having an experience of over one and a half decade in this line of activity. The two years working with DMC in various capacities of a design, implementation and field engineer, backed up with long period of activity in this line of business gave him an indepth exposure to the field of on-line Gauging. Between the period 1988-1995 when we represented M/s DMC of USA we served the customers like Flat Products, JISCO, JSL, JVSL, Ispat, Essar, Tata Steel, Bhushan, SSP/SAIL, Lloyds, Jai Corp, Steelco Gujrath and most of the cold rolling and hot rolling mills that came into being during this era. Having the technology and to maximize the reach, we in technical collaboration with DMC, started making gauges in India since 1993. End of 1995, we became on our own, owing to the changes happening at our principals, which was sold. Our endeavour to be innovative, research oriented and our technical strengths saw us reaching out to very specific needs of the customers such as the Dual Profiling System that we developed for M/s EBG (Thyssen Krupp Group company) for pickling line, a Hot Strip Mill Guage that was developed for M/s Shah Alloys Ltd., Ahmedabad and succesfully developed the Coating Weight Gauge to measure Zinc coating on steel which is installed at JSW Steels, Tarapur. All the forays that we have made so far, has empowered us to cater to most on-line gauging solutions for an integrated steel plants.
